Men’s Health Month and what you can do to live a better/healthier life

June is Men’s Health Month. The purpose of Men’s Health Month is to raise awareness of preventable health problems among men. It’s goal is to encourage men to seek advice and early treatment for diseases and injuries frequent with men.

BANYAN is a digital healthcare company and we pride ourselves on being able to help hospitals deliver care with our solutions. We care about the health of the hospitals, staff, and patients. We care about the health and wellbeing of everyone. As June comes to a close, I wanted to give a few tips on how men can take better care of themselves:

Get regular check-ups

There is research that shows men are more reluctant to go to the doctor. Even a physical exam once a year can help with early intervention. An annual check-up is pivotal for men’s health. You have to know how your body is doing.

Exercise often

30–45 minutes of exercise a day will be useful to your health. Something as simple as walking daily will give your body benefits.

Eat healthy

Be mindful of what you are eating. A balanced diet will go a long way. More fruits and vegetables and less hotdogs and hamburgers.

Pay attention to your body

Just like a car that is triggered to remind you when the oil needs to be changed or it needs to be serviced. Your body gives warning signs of when there are issues. Listen to your body and go to the doctor if you feel like something is not feeling well with you.
