Marin hospitals stress telemedicine in virus crisis

Dr. Rahul Parikh, a Kaiser physician who works on a regional technology team, said telemedicine has evolved from emails to phone and video calls over more than a decade.

“The ability for us to honor social distancing and use telemedicine for care of all patients is really important,” he said. “It’s really about protecting patients and ourselves from the spread of the virus, and this is helps us take care of patients in new and innovative ways.”
