Interns!

Last year we had the privilege of having the best interns a company could ask for! They were not only busy in their positions, but they were all challenged to take on a project outside of their departments.

We wanted to take this week and spotlight their projects that they accomplished at BANYAN.

Brandon is a Software Development intern and was tasked to help re-design our 1st floor. Talk about a task for an intern to tackle! He brainstormed and interviewed BANYAN employees for their inputs. He came up with a great open floor layout and design, and then presented his project to our executive team. We now have our development team working in the new re-designed work area.

Cale is one of our Accounting interns at BANYAN. His intern project in 2017 focused around employee wellness.

Cale believes that employees not only need to feel significant and important to add true value to a company, but also need to be living and feeling great in their day-to-day lives. Cale came up with great recommendations to the executive team. One of them was to cut sugary drinks out of the office and replace them with healthier options.

With the start of the new year, we believe this will help many BANYAN employees with their resolutions focused around health.

Collin is a Software Development intern and was tasked with driving awareness for BANYAN’s brand. He brainstormed and researched many ideas. He presented an idea of putting out bus ads in the Omaha area to our executive team. They really liked it and we are currently in the process of implementing these ads for 2018.

Jamie was an Accounting intern last year, and her 2017 project was to improve employee engagement. She got really creative with her research and findings, and presented about implementing employee recognition programs.

It was fun to see our interns work on company projects that were outside of their departments. They are the best interns a company could ask for and we are super proud of them!
